Marcus A. Thompson, Esq.

Professional Bio

Marcus has been practicing since 2014 and joined Jackson Law Group after several years of solo practice. As an undergraduate, he attended the University of Georgia (“UGA”) where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. While at UGA, Marcus spent a semester in England at Oxford University and studied History and International Media. Marcus later earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. For several years during law school, Marcus clerked at a St. Petersburg, Florida, law firm where he gained valuable civil and criminal litigation experience.

Marcus places an emphasis on maintaining a close relationship with each of his clients and keeping them updated on the progress in their cases. He stays informed of all current legal trends and changes in the law by regularly attending seminars and continuing legal education courses throughout the State of Florida.

Marcus is a native Floridian who grew up in the St. Augustine area. Marcus is actively involved in the St. Augustine community and helped found a non-profit organization, Citizens for Ron Parker Park, Inc., dedicated to raising private funds for renovations and improvements to Ron Parker Memorial Park in St. Augustine Beach. In his free time, Marcus enjoys skateboarding, surfing, golfing, and playing music. He is also a passionate supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and Jacksonville Jaguars.
