Important Deadlines for Taxpayers in 2022

Calendaring important IRS and tax authority deadlines can help you avoid stress. To avoid paying penalties and other tax consequences, calendar tax deadlines and plan for tax filings with your accountant and other members of your professional team. Below are few examples of important tax deadlines:

March 15, 2022 – Partnership Form 1065 & S Corporation Form 1120-S tax returns

April 1, 2022 – Tangible Personal Property Form DR-405 tax return (local county property appraiser)

April 18, 2022 – Individual Form 1040, C Corporation Form 1120, and Trust/Estate Income Tax Returns Form 1041 for calendar year; Contributions to IRA, HAS, and most 401(k) Plans for 2021

April 18, 2022 – 1st Quarter Estimated Tax Payment

June 15, 2022 – 2nd Quarter Estimated Tax Payment

September 15, 2022 – Partnership Form 1065 & S Corporation Form 1120-S tax returns (if an extension was requested)

September 15, 2022 – 3rd Quarter Estimated Tax Payment

October 17, 2022 – Individual Form 1040, C Corporation Form 1120, and Trust/Estate Income Tax Returns Form 1041 for calendar year (if an extension was requested)

January 15, 2023 – 4th Quarter Estimated Tax Payment
